Induction of cell cycle regulators by the hexane extract. HL-60 cells (1 × 106 cells) were seeded into T-25 tissue culture flasks and allowed to grow for 48 h when cells were incubated with 1.5 mg dry roots equivalent/ml medium extract/ml and for 2, 4, 8, 24 and 48 h. Then, isolated protein samples were subjected to 10% SDS-PAGE separation and subsequent Western blot analysis using the indicated antibodies. Equal sample loading was controlled by Poinceau S staining and β-actin analysis.
