Proteasome activation by the methanolic fraction of the aqueous extract fractionation. Percentage of CT-L proteasome activity in young HFL-1 cells treated with different concentrations of (A) the methanol and (B) the aqueous extract of the aqueous fraction for 24 h. Use of proteasome inhibitor (MG132) in control reactions ensured the specificity of the enzymatic reaction. Activities in control cells were arbitrary set to 100%.
