The distribution of sampling sites in Taihu Lake. The distribution of sampling sites in Taihu Lake is shown in Figure 1, the sampling sites were S8: Lake center, S10: Dapu, S11: Xiaomeikou, S16: Zhushan Bay, and S24: Qidu. The water samples from different water levels in the sampling site S16 were also collected: S16-1: 1 m below the water surface, S16-2: 2 m below the water surface of S16.
