The reaction mixtures contained 5 mg of catalyst in 1 mL of 25 mM buffer solution containing 8.8 mM hydrogen peroxide and a proper concentration of the selected dyes (0.29 mM ARS, 0.31 mM PNS, 2 mM XO, 0.15 mM MB, 1.5 mM MG, and 1.25 mM MO). Quantification of the removed dye was obtained photometrically, using the λmax and molar extinction coefficients reported in Table 1. n.d.: not detectable. (n = 4).
