From: Cellular responses induced by Cu(II) quinolinonato complexes in human tumor and hepatic cells
Effects of the Cu(II) complexes and prednisone on the LPS-induced TNF-α secretion. The cells were pre-treated with complexes 1–6 (0.2 μM), prednisone (0.2 μM) or the vehicle (DMSO) only. After 1 h of incubation, the inflammatory response was induced by LPS (except for the control cells). The secretion was measured 24 h after the LPS adding. The results are expressed as means ± S.D. for three independent experiments. * significant difference in comparison with the vehicle-treated cells (p < 0.05), ** significant difference in comparison with the vehicle-treated cells (p < 0.01), *** significant difference in comparison with the vehicle-treated cells (p < 0.001), # significant difference in comparison with the prednisone-treated cells (p < 0.05), ## significant difference in comparison with the prednisone-treated cells (p < 0.01), + significant difference in comparison to CuSO4-treated cells (p < 0.05).
